Return Policy

AS OF NOVEMBER 21st, 2018, WE ONLY OFFER STORE CREDIT FOR RETURNED ITEMS. WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS TO ORIGINAL METHOD OF PAYMENT. 

All items must be returned to us in the condition they were received in. Items must be returned unworn, unwashed and smoke, deodorant and perfume free. We reserve the right to refuse a return if these conditions are not met. 

Thank you for your purchase and your support of a local, small business!  It’s amazing customers like you that allow us to do what we love day in & day out! 
We hope you love your purchase as much as we want you to!  However, we know that not every purchase will fit & returns are sometimes needed.   If you have any questions, please contact us via email at info@shoptheuptown.com.
We’re flexible!  Whether you bought your item in-store or online, you can ship the return to us or bring it into our storefront.

CANCELLATIONS:

      WE CANNOT CANEL ANY ORDERS ONCE THEY HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED IN OUR SYSTEM... We know how important your order is, so we aim to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. While we cannot cancel an order once it has been placed, you are welcome to return the item{s} to us in accordance with our return policy.

Cancelled orders are subject to processing + restocking fees - and those will not be refunded.  The fee is at the discretion of the order total and our processing fees.

 Coupon codes must be presented or entered at the time of purchase. We cannot refund you for a coupon code that was not used; adjustments cannot be applied retroactively to orders. We also cannot cancel any orders where the coupon code was not used correctly. If a problem does arise, you are welcome to reach out to us via e-mail and possibly receive a gift card in the amount of what the discount code would have saved you. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE ON ANY DISCOUNT CODE ERRORS.

RETURNS:
in-store purchases:
  • returns made within 21 days from the date purchased are eligible for store credit only.
online purchases:
  • if your order was IN STORE PICK UP: returns made within 21 days from the date of fulfillment are eligible for store credit only.
  • if your order was SHIPPED: returns postmarked within 21 days of date received** are eligible for store credit only.
  • once a return is received, they will be processed within 2-3 business days and you will receive your store credit via e-mail.
  • orders that are not picked up within 6 months of order date will be donated to a local charity and not refunded. 

**this is in reference to orders placed online - we will go off of the delivery date shown in the USPS tracking information.

    All items must be returned unworn, unwashed & with all of their original tags attached.

    Damages must be reported prior to wearing the garment.  All original tags must still be attached.  These instances will be eligible for a refund.

    After 21 days, we are unable to accept returns on any purchase.

    NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

    The following items are FINAL SALE:

      • Jewelry
      • Sale Items
      • Hats 
      • Intimates {bramis}
      • Items purchased with a discount code {via rewards, text codes, promotions, flash sales, or otherwise}
    EXCHANGES:
    • Due to our quickly changing inventory, we do not offer exchanges.  
        HOLIDAY RETURN POLICY:
        • All purchases made between Thanksgiving and Christmas must be postmarked on or before January 5th.  Holiday returns will be for store credit only and must be in compliance with our return policy (see final sale items above).

        PRICE ADJUSTMENTS:

        • Should an item on the site be added to our SALE tab after you have purchased, please contact us within 14 days from the original order date for a one-time price adjustment. Credit will be issued in the form is store credit. 
        • We’re sorry but we are unable to offer price adjustments for temporary promotions/discounts.
        • Adjustments cannot be applied retroactively to orders placed before the promotion discount was activated.  During promotions, please make sure your discount is applied to the order total prior to completing order.
